Susan has been doing flamework and making beads and figurative glasswork in Logan, Ohio for a number of years. Susan went to The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and the Columbus College of Art and Design. "I took a Glass class my sophomore year and that was the end of all other things and the beginning of a long obsession with glass. It was cut short when I developed arthritis and could no longer work in a hot shop." Some 13yrs later a friend, a very well known flame worker, encouraged Susan to get back to glass. "The small scale that flame work lends itself to was just perfect for my physical limitations. I have now been working as a flame worker for years." Susan has done a number of juried shows: Upper Arlington in Columbus Ohio; Lakewood in Cleveland Ohio; Clifton in Cleveland Ohio, Keenon Center in Buffalo, NY; Bead and Button show in Milwaukee; Best bead show in alb NM; and Fur Peace in Athens Ohio. At The Clifton Show, 2000, Susan won "Best of Show."
