Clara is a performance and visual artist who has been involved in the study of puppetry and experimental theater for the past 25 years. As a visual artist, Clara creates small "mise en scene" drawings. She received a BS from the University of Oregon and has done graduate work there and at Texas Tech University and the Ohio State University. Clara has received numerous grants and fellowships and her work has been reviewed in Dialogue, The Columbus Dispatch, The Cleveland Free Times, the Pittsburg Weekly, New Art Examiner, Cleveland Plain Dealer, High Performance, and Sojourner. Clara is one of the Greater Columbus Arts Council Individual Fellowship recipients to be featured in the AiR series.

Drawing on "the Other" Clara introduces viewers to her world of performance art and puppetry, and how these worlds meld in her attempt, in miniature drawings, to capture the sense of "the other." 45 min. $25.00 US
